Council and Museum staff paid a visit to the Tisbury storage facility on Monday to check out the progress.
The inside of the Tisbury storage facility is starting to come together in preparation for shelving to be installed later in the year.
Specific areas of the Tisbury storage facility are starting to come together, including the staff and public areas, and the storage space.
Part of the fossil forest outside the museum has been removed to keep it safe while the museum rebuild is taking place.
The fossil forest was gently uplifted and will be carefully stored until it is ready to be placed again.
The individual slabs were cut and removed from their usual spot across the road from the museum.
The area around the museum has now been blocked off in preparation for work to begin.
Next week, electric gates will be installed to allow construction vehicles on and off the site.
